Job Notes

  • Required Certifications:
    • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Required Skills:
    • IV start
    • Telemetry
  • Experience Required:
    • 1.5-2+ years total experience
    • 1 year of experience in MS/Tele
    • 2 years of experience in Stepdown
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must be able to read strips
    • Minimum of 2 years RN experience
    • Previous Charge Experience
    • Charting System Experience with Cerner
  • Licensure:
    • WV OR COMPACT LICENSE (Pending license acceptable)
    • Any previous probationary actions on license will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • References:
    • Minimum 2 Manager or Charge References within the past 2 years
  • Travel Experience:
    • Not required
  • Patient Demographics:
    • Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
  • Additional Notes:
    • Candidates must have perm address greater than 100 miles from facility to submit.
    • Facility will consider between 75 to 100 miles on a case-by-case basis.
    • Perm employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after last date worked perm.
    • Current Vandalia Health System employees are ineligible for a travel contract at this facility.
  • Modules:
    • Modules are non-billable, average 8 hours spent on modules.
    • Modules are completed prior to start and are not included in the 16 hrs of NBO.
    • Modules do not vary by specialty.
  • Submission Requirements:
    • Candidate profile (work history)
    • Specialty specific skills checklist
    • RN License verification (NURSYS pulled within 2 days of sub date)
    • A copy of all required certifications must be included in the submittal packet.
