Job Details
Position: RN Step Down
Experience required: At least 1 year Med/Surg experience
Experience with Telemetry and recovery of surgical patients
Familiarity with EPIC system
May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
Job Requirements
- BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS certification (AHA)
- Current nursing license verified via Nursys within 30 days prior to start
- Ascension Specialty Exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
- Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics, updated every 3 years
- Ascension EKG Exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
- Ascension Epic Test-Out with training checklist and signed attestation
- Health statement or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Fit Test, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, Influenza vaccine (optional)
- Completion of Ascension onboarding requirements including resume, signed assignment agreement, badge photo, criminal background check, EPLS, education verification, employment verification, and confirmation of assignment
Schedule Information
Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
Every 3rd weekend required
EOH rotation with staff
