About the Role
Travel Step down Registered Nurse position available in Kalamazoo, MI.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes
- Provide education to patients and families regarding their health conditions and treatment plans
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing
- At least 2 years of step-down nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, CVA, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation of ABGs, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, managing cardiac drips, managing vasoactive drips, managing dysrhythmias, MS/Tele, nasal cannula, neuro stepdown, pacemakers/temporary/permanent, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, substance withdrawal, telemetry, telemetry - on the unit monitoring, titrating cardiac drips, titrating vasoactive drips, titration of insulin drips
