About the role
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with an active Oregon license and CCC or CFY status for a day-shift assignment across dual sites treating adult acute and outpatient patients.
- Hospital-based rehabilitation setting providing acute and outpatient speech therapy services
- Treats adult patients with speech sounds, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive disorders including memory, attention, and problem solving
- Day shift schedule from 8:00am to 2:30pm with no weekends
- 13-week assignment across dual sites requiring travel between multiple points of care
- 32 guaranteed hours per week
Responsibilities
- Evaluation, treatment, and education addressing communication and swallowing needs
- Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Promotes teamwork within the rehabilitation department
- Part of a collaborative rehabilitation team treating patients with injuries or conditions affecting self-care, mobility, or functional independence
Requirements
- Current unencumbered Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or active participation in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to travel between multiple points of care
