Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,029 per week
About the role
Focus Staff is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Springfield, Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide speech therapy services to patients of all ages, from pediatric to older adults, based on diagnosed conditions.
Responsibilities
- Play an important part in helping patients recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities
- Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members
- Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
- Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements
- Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard, and applicable state/federal laws
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Graduate of a master's level program in Speech Language Pathology accredited by the Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements
- Independent decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
- At least 2 years of SLP experience

Pay
The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a schedule of 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
