Travel Speech Language Pathologist - SNF/LTC - $2,240 per week

Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a contract assignment in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

About the role

A great SNF / LTC facility is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join their growing team. The SLP is responsible for assessing referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing, and/or language deficits. Responsibilities include teaching patients to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase oral/written language skills for effective communication. The SLP will also teach individuals to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow safely without choking or inhaling food/liquid.

This is a travel position with the following details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour days

Responsibilities

• Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop a plan of care for each patient.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist or actively in the process of obtaining licensure.
• Must hold SLP-CCC certification.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
