Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (Inpatient) in Farmington, New Mexico. This position involves providing acute care rehabilitation services within a Level III trauma center that serves the Four Corners region. The role focuses on diagnosing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders, including dysphagia, aphasia, and dysarthria, among adults and geriatrics.

Shift
Days, 10 hours shifts, Thursday through Sunday
Schedule
40 hours per week, with hours to be determined, including unpaid 30-minute lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- New Mexico State Speech Language Pathologist license
- Clinical Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Proficiency in Memphis Bedside Swallow Evaluation (MBSS) or Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Acute and critical care experience, including MBSS, is highly preferred
Additional Information
- This role requires participation in mandatory meetings if scheduled during unpaid lunch breaks; time will be adjusted to reflect paid hours.
- The unit provides services 7 days a week; hours are flexible, and time off and holiday schedules will be determined.
- The clinical team manages a patient ratio of 8-12 patients daily, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations.

Pay Package
Based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
