Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,492 per week
About the role
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Farmington, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations, patient goals, and evidence-based practices.
- Audit patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Provide education on effective communication strategies, home-based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, while offering supportive counseling.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
Requirements
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Speech Language Pathology experience, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read/write in the English language, comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficient in PC skills. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
