Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,069 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for an immediate travel opening in Petersburg, Virginia. This is a 16-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing
• Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
• Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
• ASHA certification required
• BLS certification required
• 1 year of experience preferred (6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates with appropriate background)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
