About the role

The organization is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for an inpatient setting in Albemarle, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized therapy services to adult patients, primarily focused on individuals with cognitive impairments, stroke recovery, aphasia, trach, or swallowing difficulties. The position offers a comprehensive opportunity to deliver impactful care within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services in an inpatient setting
• Manage patient caseload with a focus on cognitive impairments, stroke recovery, aphasia, trach, and swallowing difficulties
• Schedule and conduct patient visits, utilizing Homecare Homebase EMR for documentation
• Travel throughout designated areas including Albemarle, Badin, Harrisburg, Mt Gilead, Norwood, Troy, and nearby towns (approximately 60-80 miles daily)
• Work independently and manage time effectively in a team-oriented culture

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance
• Minimum of 1 year of home health experience
• Proficiency with Homecare Homebase Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC Rover and Mosia
• Strong communication skills

Schedule

• Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• 13-week assignment starting 09/08/2026

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
