About the role

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Inpatient position available in a home health setting. Start date: 10/19/2026; duration: 13 weeks; 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts, days; employment type: travel; specialty: Speech Language Pathologist; discipline: Therapy. The role involves providing specialized care to adult patients, primarily geriatrically, with diagnoses such as cerebrovascular accident (CVA), traumatic brain injury (TBI), dysphagia, apraxia, speech and cognition impairments, and cancer. The position requires working within Anson and Union counties, focusing on developing and evaluating care plans related to swallowing difficulties and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized SLP care to adult patients, focusing on geriatric populations with CVA, TBI, dysphagia, apraxia, speech and cognition impairments, and cancer.
• Develop and evaluate care plans for swallowing difficulties and patient education.
• Work across Anson and Union counties conducting home visits.
• Complete a one‑week orientation with a speech‑language pathology teammate.
• No weekend rotations, on‑call responsibilities, or holiday expectations.
• Approval for RTO (return to office) granted; may float to other home health positions as needed.
• Use laptop, phone, and necessary tools for home visits.

Requirements

• State license
• BLS certification
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle
• CCCs (Certification of Clinical Competency) obtained after CFY
• Master’s degree or higher
• Minimum of 2 years of experience, with at least 3 months of home health experience (internships accepted)
