Requirements

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an SLP
• Acute hospital setting experience required
• Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) required
• SC SLP license required if applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Assignment Overview

Hospital-based position on the 4th floor, with floating expected between the inpatient rehabilitation unit and the acute care hospital floor
Caseload typically includes approximately 5-6 rehab patients seen 3-5x/week based on frequency and need, plus an acute caseload that varies; outpatient modified barium swallow studies performed approximately once per week
Documentation in Meditech
Day shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with flexible start/stop times

Benefits

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined

Additional Information

• FEES certification and experience is preferred
• The facility is Joint Commission Stroke Certified and a Top 10% national performer for PEMS
• Scrub color: light grey tops and bottoms; black pants are also acceptable
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates will be considered
