Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $1,975 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate opening in Cumberland, MD. This is an 8-week assignment with a 36-hour work week, rotating 12-hour shifts. The role is ideal for a candidate with at least 1 year of experience, though 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create individualized treatment and therapy plans for a diverse patient population in the acute care setting.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders, causes, disabilities, and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ASHA-SLP National Certification and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
