MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for an assignment in Inman, South Carolina.
About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will assess referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing, and/or language deficits. Responsibilities include teaching patients to improve communication skills, strengthen muscles, and use compensatory strategies for safe swallowing.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
- Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
- Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills.
- Help patients fulfill educational, vocational, and social roles through improved communication and swallowing abilities.
Requirements
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or actively in the process of obtaining one.
- At least one year of professional working experience.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current CPR certification.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility.
