About the role
Outpatient Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Amarillo, TX. This full-time travel role involves delivering individualized therapy to children with various developmental and communication disorders. The position emphasizes evidence-based, child-centered care that fosters communication skills, social interaction, and developmental milestones, all within a collaborative team environment focused on supporting families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans
- Implement therapy plans for children with developmental and communication needs
- Partner with families to support child development and communication goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Document patient care using Scribe AI and the Raintree EMR platform
- Manage a caseload of approximately 10-12 patient visits daily
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Texas SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- CCC-SLP preferred or CFY eligible
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical reasoning skills
- Passion for working with children with developmental and communication needs
- Commitment to compassionate, family-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children presenting with autism spectrum disorder, speech and language delays, feeding, or oral-motor difficulties
Schedule
- Days shift, 8 hours per day
- Minimum 40 hours per week
