About the position
As a Special Procedures Technologist within the Interventional Radiology Lab at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix, you will be an integral part of the team. The facility is a Magnet facility, Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The Interventional Radiology Lab is high acuity, specializing in venous, arterial, and non-endovascular procedures. Interventional procedures include:
- Angiograms
- Angioplasty
- Stent placements
- Neuro coiling
- Stroke thrombectomy
- Embolization of bleeds
- Y-90 for liver cancer
- Ablations
- Line placements for chemotherapy and hemodialysis
The IR team includes registered nurses, interventional radiologists, neurointerventionalists, advanced practice providers, and special procedure technologists. The team has a collaborative culture with interventionalist physicians who have been at the facility for over 10 years.
