About the role

The position involves providing specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities within a school setting. The teacher will collaborate with other educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities

  • Teach academic subjects tailored to the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities.
  • Develop and implement IEPs to meet the unique educational goals of each student.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive educational program for students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid state special education teaching certification.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
