Responsibilities
- Assess patients' communication and swallowing needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing skills.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Implement interventions in various settings, including outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow‑up care for continued support.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Michigan licensure or certification as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
Pay
$2,090.43 – $2,155.08 per week (based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week; tax‑free stipend amount to be determined).
