Travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,550 per week

Travel Physical Therapy Assistant position in a skilled nursing facility located in Hondo, Texas. The role involves providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports clinical assessments, treatment administration, documentation, and patient education to promote optimal recovery outcomes. Responsibilities include utilizing evidence-based practices, administering treatment procedures, assessing patient progress, and documenting all clinical activities. The PTA may also participate in treatment planning meetings, provide consultation to patients and families, and supervise students under the guidance of a Physical Therapist. Engagement in required training sessions, in-services, and conferences is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Support clinical assessments and administer treatment procedures
• Assess and document patient progress
• Participate in treatment planning meetings and provide patient/family consultation
• Supervise students under the guidance of a Physical Therapist
• Engage in training sessions, in-services, and conferences

Requirements

• Valid PTA license and active state licensure in Texas
• 1 year of PTA experience preferred, including at least Level II experience (new graduates acceptable if they meet Level II criteria)
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting

Schedule

• Day shift, 8 hours per shift
• 40 hours per week minimum
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks (09/21/2026 – 12/21/2026)

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
