Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Physical Therapy Assistant in Piscataway, New Jersey.
About the role
This 13-week travel assignment offers the opportunity to make a significant impact as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The role is on-site with day shifts of up to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
- Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
Requirements
- Completion of accredited PTA program
- Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- NJ PTA licensure/certification
- First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended
Pay
$1,445.54 - $1,490.25 per week, based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
