About the role
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a 12-week assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting in Portland, Oregon. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by assisting in patient rehabilitation and care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
- Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited PTA program
- Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) or PTA licensure/certification
- First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended
Pay
$1,316.43 - $1,357.14 per week
Schedule
- 12-week assignment starting 09/02/2026
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour day shifts
- On-site at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
