Travel Senior Project Manager - Mission Critical

Summary

The Senior Project Manager leads large or complex projects, supervising teams and ensuring project success. They also provide guidance to Project Teams and assist in contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Champions “The Layton Way” and ensures “Constructing with Integrity”.
• Works closely with the Senior Superintendent to deliver successful project delivery and maintain client relationships.
• Supervises Project Teams, offering advice and counsel on project management techniques and adherence to plan specifications.
• Is directly responsible for projected costs and profits for each assigned project.
• Prepares project budgets, manages project materials and equipment procurement, and oversees project schedules.
• Negotiates change orders, manages cost and profit impacts, and coordinates payments and lien releases.
• Manages project close-out, including as-built drawings, punch lists, final billing, and owner acceptance.
• Holds post-completion project reviews and maintains owner relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of eight years project management experience in mission-critical construction projects.
• Strong ability to manage complex projects and effective teamwork skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and understanding of estimating and contractual concepts.
• Working knowledge of construction laws, building codes, and design requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Integrity and adherence to ethical standards.
