Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care in an acute care hospital setting
• Perform adult critical care procedures
• Set up and manage aerosol treatments (mask and trach)
• Administer medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, and Xopenex
• Manage BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Perform extubation and airway placement (nasal and oral)
• Conduct nasal and oral/nasal suctioning
• Interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
• Provide trach collar management and tracheostomy care/management
• Troubleshoot high pressure alarms
• Assist with weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Collect sputum specimens
• Utilize T-piece, heated, cold, ultrasonic, handheld, and Flow-by therapy modalities
• Work night shifts in the Emergency Department as needed

Requirements

• 1 year of experience
• Active CRT and RRT certifications
• Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience with Epic charting system

• Weekly pay: $1,952 to $2,123
• Assignment length: 20 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 18:30 - 07:00
• Schedule: 3, 12-hour shifts per week
