A travel position in an acute-care hospital in Durham, NC.
About the role
13-week assignment with night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), three 12-hour shifts per week. One opening available; start date 09/21/2026. Epic charting system in use.
Responsibilities
- Adult critical care
- Aerosol set-up (mask and trach)
- Administration of respiratory medications (Albuterol, Atrovent, Bicarbonate, Combivent, Flovent, Medihaler, Metered Dose Inhaler, Mucomyst, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin)
- BiPAP, CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management
- Bronchoscopy assistance
- Extubation and intubation assistance
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning
- Nitric oxide (INO) and inhaled Flolan administration
- Sputum specimen collection
- Tracheostomy care and management (trach collar, T-piece)
- Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
- Weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Ultrasonic nebulizer use
Requirements
- 1 year of experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Prior travel experience required

Pay
$1,967 to $2,160 weekly, including taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.
Schedule
Three 12-hour night shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30).
