Aya Healthcare offers a travel assignment for a Respiratory Therapist in Salem, OR, with immediate openings.
About the Role
This is a 13-week assignment with a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). The facility uses Epic for charting and is an acute care hospital with 537 beds, designated as a Level 2 trauma center and Magnet facility.
Pay
$1,916 to $2,109 weekly, including taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.

- ARDS, Aspiration, Bronchoscopy, COVID, Pneumonia
- BiPAP, Bubble CPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Emergency Department procedures (extubation, intubation assist, nasal airway placement/suctioning)
- Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
- Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), Hand-held nebulizers
- Near drowning, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Respiratory distress syndrome
- Apnea Monitor, Assist in high-risk delivery, Bag and mask ventilation
- Basic EKG, Chest Physiotherapy (including Vest), Drawing arterial blood gases
- ET Tube management, IMV/SIMV, Mucomyst
- Oral/nasal suctioning, Patient transport (inter-departmental and ambulance)
- Oxygen tanks, Sputum specimen collection, Suctioning (ETT, NT)
- T-piece, Trach collar, Tracheostomy care/management
- Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Transient Tachypnea of the newborn
- Racemic epinephrine, Inhaled steroids
