Responsibilities
- Perform minor medical procedures
- Advise patients and families on health issues
- Document medical history
- Monitor vital signs
- Assess emotional and physical well-being
- Assist with patient positioning
- Manage care according to hospital policies
- Ensure paperwork completion
- Monitor for anesthesia-related issues
- Stay with patients until anesthesia is induced
Qualifications & Skills
- 1-2 years of recent acute care experience
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and lean comfortably
- Must possess BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications
- Relevant certifications for the role
- Prepared to handle potential hazards from chemicals or infectious agents in the OR environment
