About the Role

The Extended Assignment Travel Nurse Circulator is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe patient care in a clinical environment. They perform the nursing process, deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care, and adapt practices to diverse populations. They collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, support performance improvement, and uphold evidence-based standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Partner with patients and families, ensuring clear communication and personalized care.
• Coordinate safe, high-quality care through interdisciplinary teamwork and documentation.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and participate in shared governance.
• Mentor colleagues, complete ongoing competency assessments, and promote professional development.
• Engage in evidence-based practice, research, and protocol development to enhance patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year circulating in OR experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Bachelor's or Diploma in Nursing; active nursing license (multi-state preferable).
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale.
