TRAVEL - RN Med/Surg Tele

Location: Alexandria, LA – 50-mile travel radius required

About the Role

12-hour night shift (07:00 PM – 07:00 AM), 36 hours per week. Unit is a 31-bed Med-Surg/Oncology (6A) with a 6:1 patient ratio. Unit secretaries on-site 6 AM – 10 PM; techs available on all shifts. Documentation system: Meditech. Rotating weekends; block scheduling available. Floating to other Med-Surg and Tele units required.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical assessments and maintain accurate documentation in Meditech
• Care for acute-care stroke patients
• Manage time effectively and apply critical-thinking skills
• Adhere to A.I.D.E.T. behaviors, core measures, and protocols to prevent hospital-acquired conditions (HACs) and infections (HAIs)
• Participate in procedures performed on the unit

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum one year of acute-care experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Chemo experience (preferred)

Skills

• Excellent physical assessment and documentation skills
• Strong time management and critical-thinking abilities
• Familiarity with core measures and infection-prevention protocols
