Travel RN Emergency Room - $1,985 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Muskegon, Michigan. This is a 12‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage and implement care following physician instructions.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Document medical history and check for patient allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being.
• Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs.

Requirements

1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC certification

Skills

• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Able to bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds regularly; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Good stress‑coping skills.
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
