Travel Emergency Room RN - $1,981 per week

About the role

Travel nurse position for an Emergency Department RN in McAlester, Oklahoma. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Employment type: travel. The pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions
• Perform minor medical operations
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long‑term care needs
• Document medical history
• Check for patient allergies
• Obtain patient vital signs
• Monitor patients' emotional and physical well‑being
• Provide basic bedside care
• Clean and bandage wounds
• Provide IV therapy
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• 2 years recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; patient lifting may require up to 50 pounds
• Good stress‑coping skills in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
