About the role
Bring your cardiovascular OR expertise to a fast-paced surgical environment in Phoenix, AZ where your skills can make an immediate impact. This travel contract offers four 10-hour shifts per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care during cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team
- Maintain patient safety throughout the perioperative process
- Monitor and manage patients before, during, and after procedures
- Assist with complex cardiovascular surgical cases
- Participate in required call coverage
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Active required certifications
- Recent CVOR/Open Heart Surgery experience
- Strong perioperative and cardiovascular nursing experience
- Ability to work four 10-hour shifts and participate in call
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- 4×10-hour shifts: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Call required
