About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a travel position focused on perioperative patient care.
Responsibilities
- Preparing the operating room with necessary instruments and supplies
- Assisting in patient positioning and ensuring safety and comfort
- Maintaining sterile fields and following infection control protocols
- Supporting the surgical team with instruments and supplies
- Monitoring patient condition during procedures and documenting changes
- Handling surgical instruments, specimens, and ensuring proper sterilization and disposal
- Participating in patient handoffs and maintaining accurate documentation
- Assisting with room turnover and adhering to safety procedures
Requirements
- At least one year of recent OR RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS certification
Qualifications
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS, ENPC, or CNOR
Skills
- Critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move and handle equipment
- Technical proficiency and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments
- Visual acuity and effective communication skills
