Travel Respiratory Therapy Technician

About the role

Provide specialized respiratory care, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and monitoring patient responses. Perform diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, pulmonary function tests, and assist with advanced procedures like bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. Operate and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy. Document treatments and communicate patient status during shift changes. Ensure compliance with all safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist licensure or certification as per state regulations
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with invasive and non-invasive ventilation equipment
• Skills in arterial puncture, intubation, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with pulmonary studies and CPR guidelines

Preferred Skills

• Experience in moderate complexity labs, specimen handling, and documentation
• Knowledge of PleurX catheter procedures and video laryngoscopy
