Travel Respiratory Therapist Registered - $2,670 per week

About the role

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position in a Level II children's hospital with a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role involves providing respiratory support for neonatal and pediatric patients, including managing vents, trachs, g-tubes, NG/OG feeds, NCPAP, UAC/UVC lines, PICC lines, medication administration, and care planning. The NICU is part of a Pediatric Hospital attached to an adult hospital, offering private rooms and an overflow nursery for feeders/growers. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and experience caring for high-risk and surgical pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory support for neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Manage ventilators, tracheostomy tubes, G‑tubes, NG/OG tubes, NCPAP.
• Manage UAC/UVC lines and PICC lines.
• Administer medications.
• Develop and implement care plans.
• Care for high‑risk and surgical pediatric patients.
• Occasionally provide emergency room sitter coverage (float coverage).

Requirements

• Valid Washington state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
