Travel Respiratory Therapist - $2,855 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 16‑week assignment in Middlebury, Vermont. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts, with immediate start. Candidates should have at least one year of recent acute‑care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop; lift up to 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb when moving patients.
• Possess specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute‑care experience.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required depending on area.
• RRT credential and NBRC certification; NPR (likely NRP) 2 years referenced.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
