Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,855 per week

About the role

We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Middlebury, VT. The right RT should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• RRT certification.
• NBRC certification.
• PALS and/or NRP may be required in some areas.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Qualifications

• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Able to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Able to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
