Travel Respiratory Therapist - $2,364 per week

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment starting October 13, 2026, in Kalispell, Montana.

Responsibilities

• Work with an adult patient population, potentially including pediatric patients in the Emergency Room (ER).
• Provide care in various units such as the Emergency Room (ER), Post-Intensive Care Unit (PCU), Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg), and Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Treatment of common conditions like acute/chronic respiratory failure, pneumonia, flu, COVID, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), post-heart surgery, and critically/ventilated patients.
• Assist with ventilator management, BiPAP/non-invasive ventilation, and high-flow oxygen administration.
• Perform bedside bronchoscopies, tracheostomy insertions, and tracheostomy care.
• Respond to rapid responses, trauma situations, and medical emergencies.
• Make clinical judgments and work independently.
• Handle 50% of holidays during the contract period.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification not accepted.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/non-invasive ventilation, and high-flow oxygen administration.
• Experience assisting with intubations, bedside bronchoscopies, and tracheostomy insertions/care.
• Comfortable responding to rapid responses, traumas, and codes.
• Ability to make clinical judgments and work autonomously.
• NICU experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the right to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must be willing to work weekends as needed.
