Travel Respiratory Therapist - $2,250 per week

About the role

We're looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Cheyenne, WY. The right RT should have 1 year recent acute care experience. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support

Requirements

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience (posting notes 1 year; requirements list specifies 2 years)
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NBRC credential
• NRP certification
• PALS may be required in some areas
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Ability to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Schedule

13-week assignment; 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week.

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
