Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,250 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Cheyenne, Wyoming. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function.
• Report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Possess specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (some listings note 2 years).
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• NBRC certification required.
• PALS and NRP may be required depending on the assignment.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
