Assignment Overview

Location: Petersburg, West Virginia. Start date: November 2, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment type: Travel. Hours: 36 per week (3×12‑hour rotating shifts). Openings: 1. Job ID: P‑773911.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care in an acute‑care hospital covering inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments.
• Manage ventilators (Hamilton Medical C1 & C3), high‑flow nasal cannula (Masimo SoftFlow), CPAP/BiPAP (ResMed), and perform ABG draws (GEM5000 analyzer).
• Deliver nebulizer treatments, MDIs, and airway clearance for inpatients; perform 50–75+ treatments per day depending on census.
• Assist with intubations (RTs assist rather than perform independently).
• Cover outpatient duties including nocturnal pulse‑ox setup and blood gas draws.
• Float as needed, including rotating ER assignment; work collaboratively with no dedicated charge/lead RT on shift.
• Document using MEDITECH EMR.

Requirements

• Current RRT required; CRT acceptable.
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA).
• PCOT certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy specialty experience.
• Ventilatory management skills required; must be able to work independently.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Valid state license if applicable.

Schedule

• 3×12‑hour rotating shifts: Monday and Tuesday day shift; alternating Wednesday and Friday night shift.
• Every other weekend required.
• Day shift: 2 RTs for inpatient, 1 RT for outpatient; night shift: 1 RT for inpatient.
• No formal call or standby requirement; manager available 24/7 for support.
• 2–3 days of department‑specific orientation provided.
