About the role
Travel Respiratory Therapist position at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, 305 Langdon Street, Somerset, KY 42503. 13‑week assignment, 40 hours per week, day shifts (8‑hour).
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide appropriate patient/family education
- Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to communicate clearly – read, write, speak, and understand English
- Demonstrate adherence to code of conduct and compliance policies
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited school in Respiratory Therapy (or related specialty)
- Appropriate certifications and licensure as required for the position
