About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Columbus, Ohio. The position involves providing quality patient care with intensive respiratory support and patient transport per medical prescriptions. Duties include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, explaining procedures and equipment, providing discharge education, operating ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring oximetry and capnography, reviewing chest x-rays, conducting pulmonary function studies, and assisting with bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care.

Schedule

Day shift: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (36 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop treatment plans based on assessments.
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments using a variety of equipment.
• Perform suctioning and chest physiotherapy to aid in secretion clearance.
• Monitor and document patient's respiratory status and responses to treatment.
• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care.
• Coordinate with physicians regarding treatment efficacy and patient progress.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments and patient responses.
• Ensure proper setup and maintenance of ventilatory and related equipment.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Experience with ventilatory support and respiratory care procedures.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
