Travel Respiratory Therapist - $1,753 per week

About the role

Travel Respiratory Therapist position in Jackson, Mississippi. 13‑week assignment, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Requires 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedural guidelines
• Collaborate with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NBRC credential
• PALS and NRP may be required in some areas
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pay & schedule

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
