Travel Respiratory Therapist - $1,694 per week
About the role
The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory therapy and assisting with patient transport as medically prescribed. This role involves evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, explaining treatment procedures, and providing education to patients upon discharge.
Responsibilities
- Congduct physician prescribed respiratory treatments using a variety of ventilatory equipment and devices to administer medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation.
- Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance.
- Conduct suctioning and oximetry and capnography monitoring according to policy.
- Review patient chest x-rays as needed for further evaluation.
- Perform 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
- Assist in procedures related to respiratory care, including bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.
- Perform arterial puncture and monitor ventilation efficiency.
- Follow all laboratory policies related to testing, quality control, and documentation.
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation following BLS and ACLS guidelines.
- Document all relevant patient information and treatment responses accurately.
- Communicate efficiently with attending and pulmonary physicians regarding patient therapy efficacy.
Requirements
- Active licensure as a Respiratory Therapist is required.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS is preferred.

Pay & Schedule
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
