Responsibilities
- Decipher plans/prints.
- Work with crews during reset/remodel, meeting time expectations while maintaining work quality and safety.
- Build specialty merchandising units, stands, and displays.
- Profile bays and sections, including shelving and accessories.
- Install fixture plans according to blueprints for new and remodeled stores.
- Set merchandise according to planograms.
- Follow-up with company on construction, electrical, plumbing, or painting needs.
- Order and set up vendor fixtures within required time frames.
- Clean or paint fixtures as necessary.
- Restock account inventories by moving product from back rooms to cold boxes, displays, and warm shelves.
- Manage re-merchandising projects including grand openings and remodels.
- Ensure compliance with safety program requirements (Store Inventory Management, POG SOPs).
- Conduct POG Audits.
- Use technology to connect electronic shelf tags.
- Provide customer service by greeting customers, guiding them to the right section, and covering stores outside of designated territory as needed.
Qualifications & Key Requirements
- Experience with home improvement stores, big box retail, pharmacies, planograms, national rollouts, remodeling, gondolas, new stores, and national racking standards.
- Deep understanding of merchandising and extensive experience with gondola and retail fixture installation.
- Prior construction experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor plans and fixture placement drawings.
- Ability to read and understand directions and instructions on smartphones or tablets.
- Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools including power tools.
- A valid driver's license.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 86 pounds.
- Reach, climb ladders, stand, bend, pull, push, twist, and kneel.
- Bend, squat, extend arms upward and downward, stand for long periods at a time.
- Work in hot/cold environments.
- Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
- Must be able to travel.
