Travel Reset Merchandiser - Central Texas Region (Austin, San Marcos, Georgetown, Round Rock)

Responsibilities

• Decipher plans/prints.
• Work with crews during reset/remodel, meeting time expectations while maintaining work quality and safety.
• Build specialty merchandising units, stands, and displays.
• Profile bays and sections, including shelving and accessories.
• Install fixture plans according to blueprints for new and remodeled stores.
• Set merchandise according to planograms.
• Follow-up with company on construction, electrical, plumbing, or painting needs.
• Order and set up vendor fixtures within required time frames.
• Clean or paint fixtures as necessary.
• Restock account inventories by moving product from back rooms to cold boxes, displays, and warm shelves.
• Manage re-merchandising projects including grand openings and remodels.
• Ensure compliance with safety program requirements (Store Inventory Management, POG SOPs).
• Conduct POG Audits.
• Use technology to connect electronic shelf tags.
• Provide customer service by greeting customers, guiding them to the right section, and covering stores outside of designated territory as needed.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Experience with home improvement stores, big box retail, pharmacies, planograms, national rollouts, remodeling, gondolas, new stores, and national racking standards.
• Deep understanding of merchandising and extensive experience with gondola and retail fixture installation.
• Prior construction experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor plans and fixture placement drawings.
• Ability to read and understand directions and instructions on smartphones or tablets.
• Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools including power tools.
• A valid driver's license.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 86 pounds.
• Reach, climb ladders, stand, bend, pull, push, twist, and kneel.
• Bend, squat, extend arms upward and downward, stand for long periods at a time.
• Work in hot/cold environments.
• Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
• Must be able to travel.
