Travel Reset Merchandiser - Houston

Responsibilities

  • Decipher plans/prints.
  • Work with crews during reset/remodel, meeting time expectations while maintaining work quality and safety.
  • Build specialty merchandising units, stands, and displays.
  • Profile bays and sections, including shelving and accessories.
  • Install fixtures (pallet racking, gondola, etc.).
  • Follow-up with company on construction, electrical, plumbing, or painting.
  • Order and set up vendor fixtures within required time frame.
  • Clean or paint fixtures as necessary.
  • Restock account inventories by moving product from back rooms to cold boxes, displays, and warm shelves.
  • Maintain product placement schematic integrity while managing re-merchandising projects including grand openings and remodels.
  • Comply with all safety program requirements; SIM and POG SOPs.
  • Conduct POG Audits.
  • Use technology to connect electronic shelf tags.
  • Provide customer service by greeting customers, guiding them to the right section, and covering stores outside of designated territory as needed.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

  • Entry support individual contributor position performing administrative or specialized tasks in support of daily business activities.
  • Works under direct supervision on routine tasks and follows standard procedures with very little independent judgement.
  • High school, vocational, or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience in home improvement stores, big box retail, pharmacy, planogramming, national rollouts, remodeling, gondolas, new store openings, and familiarity with national racking standards and gondola/retail fixture installation.
  • Prior construction experience is a plus.
  • Ability to move fixtures on wheels.
  • Understanding of floor plans and fixture placement drawings.
  • Read and understand directions and instructions on smartphones or tablets.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools including power tools.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends and be out of town for extended periods of time if the work requires.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Personal vehicle required for travel.
