Travel Rehabilitation Med/Surg RN - $2,152 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Rehabilitation for a travel nursing job in Windsor, Vermont. The position is for a Medical Surgical RN with 1–2 years of recent acute care experience, starting 11/30/2026 for a 13‑week travel assignment (36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts).

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Start date: 11/30/2026; duration: 13 weeks; 36 hours per week; 12‑hour night shifts.
