Travel Rehab RN - $1,533 per week

About the role

We're looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate travel opening in Hickory, NC at our Rehabilitation Hospital. The right RN should have at least 1 year of experience in rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients with neurological, orthopedic, or other rehabilitation needs, including stroke recovery, spinal cord injuries, joint replacements, or brain injuries
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other members of the rehab team to develop and implement personalized care plans that support patient recovery goals
• Regularly assess patients' physical and mental condition, monitor vital signs, neurological function, and progress in therapy. Adjust care plans as necessary based on patient response
• Administer medications as prescribed, monitor for side effects, and ensure proper dosage and timely delivery. Assist with pain management strategies to promote patient comfort during rehabilitation
• Educate patients and families about recovery goals, rehabilitation techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to promote independence in daily activities
• Respond to medical emergencies, including sudden changes in condition, respiratory distress, or cardiac issues, and act quickly to stabilize patients when needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress toward rehabilitation goals in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Assist with discharge planning, ensuring patients and families are prepared for post discharge care, including home modifications, continued therapies, and follow-up appointments
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, case managers, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as an RN in a rehabilitation setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Eligible for state licensure
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
