Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics - $2,350 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for an immediate travel position in Seattle, Washington. The role requires 1 year of recent acute care experience. As a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT), you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience (note: posting also lists "2 Years" under Requirements*).
• NBRC-RRT certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• Physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 pounds easily; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

18-week assignment; 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts.

Pay

Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
