Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics - $2,270 per week

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This position involves providing respiratory care services across all patient care areas of the hospital, including emergency department and general care units, with a focus on pediatric patients. The role requires a skilled and resilient professional to support critical care and emergency services during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services across all patient care areas, including emergency department and general care units, focusing on pediatric patients.
• Manage ventilators and perform patient assessments.
• Respond to emergencies, including Rapid Response and Code Blue situations.
• Deliver basic and critical respiratory care to patients of all ages.
• Adhere to dress code policies (scrubs of any color, closed-toed shoes, no smoking or scents, piercings per policy).
• Maintain resilience and adaptability in a high‑performance environment.
• Wear masks at all times during flu season if unvaccinated.
• Accept float rotations across various hospital units and other healthcare locations within the organization with advance notice.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) accepted but must obtain RRT within one year.
• Active Wisconsin license.
• Minimum of three years of relevant respiratory therapy experience.
• Proactive pediatric experience for night shifts.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience preferred.
• NICU experience highly preferred.
